TORQUE + PATTERN

The systems of pattern and torque are derived from Noguchi’s Helix of the Endless.

These systems play an important role in the museum and center. Pattern is created by the repetition of linear wooden components oriented at different angles (torque), spaced at different distances.

The different patterns denote levels of privacy. Museum and community users will be able to circulate efficiently through the space for their respective needs, while remaining aware of adjacent activities should they have a desire to partake.
